Returning to work after a long absence can be daunting. Especially if it following maternity (or shared parental) leave. Confidence is often at it’s lowest and, while sleep deprived and exhausted, internal resources can be depleted.
Add the high instance of post natal depression and it’s no wonder returning Mums sometimes take a role far beneath their capabilities as the first role back.
